In 1973 an ambitious young engineering
student, unable to afford to buy a production racing car, built
his own Formula Ford single-seater.
Adrian Reynard went on to set
up a manufacturing company which became one of the most successful
makers of production racing cars in the world, at the leading edge
of racing car design and technology, and which on the way has won
two Queen's Awards for Export Achievement.
